He is survived by: his spouse Layla Alqas; his children, Azzam Shawka, Insaf Shawka, Muataz Shawka, Rawnaq Shawka, Watheq Shawka, Iqbal Shawka, Wejdan Shawka, Raneen Shawka and Lydya Shawka; and his sister Aneesa Shawka. He is also survived by 24 Grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
