He was predeceased by : his parents, Yacob Toma and Mariam Unknown. He is survived by : his children, Amer Yacob, Nahla, Nadia and Suzan. He is also survived by 9 Grandchildren, and 4 Great-Grandchildren.

A funeral service was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the St. Peter Chaldean Catholic Cathedral (1627 Jamacha Way, El Cajon, CA 92019). A burial was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 at 12:30 PM at the Holy Cross Cemetery (4470 Hilltop Dr, San Diego, CA 92102). Visitation was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Crystal Ballroom (414 Magnolia Ave, El Cajon, CA 92020). A graveside service was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 at 7:00 PM at the Holy Cross Cemetery (4470 Hilltop Dr, San Diego, CA 92102).
