“It was with sadness I learned yesterday that Sarah Elisabeth Oftedal has passed. I came into the Orthodox church here in San Diego, and heard that there was another Norwegian Orthodox in San Diego. This was back in 2009 when I first time met Sarah at the Mary Martha House in Escondido. After this we met at numerous occasions at Saint Gregory of Nyssa and at Saint Anthony. It was always a blessing to be able to speak Norwegian with her. May Her Memory be eternal! Deacon Hallvard Blomgren”
