She was predeceased by: her parents, William Carpenter and Elizabeth Carpenter; and her brother Jack. She is survived by: her sons, Terry (Margaret) of Hayward and Randy (Lorene); and her adoptive son Robert Thorson (Carol) of Brookings, OR.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Sunset View Chapel (101 Colusa Ave, El Cerrito, CA 94530). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Bayview Eagles Hall (3223 Carlson Blvd, El Cerrito, CA 94530).
Along with her charity work for the Eagles during retirement, Carol became a world traveler who made connections and lifelong friends wherever she roamed.
