We are sad to announce that, on December 25, 2025, at the age of 92, Laverne Darlene Lara of El Cerrito, California, born in Oakland, California passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Tolstoy Lara (Larry); and her parents, Harold Hartman and Mary Hartman. She is survived by: her children, Kathleen Lara of Brentwood, Michael of San Pablo and Gary of El Cerrito; her granddaughter Jessica Peyrucain of Concord; her great grandchildren, Ashlee, Natalee and Emilee; and her child Laverne.
