He is survived by: his wife Nancy Ashley Benware; his children, Brett, Todd, Travis and Bridget (Matt); and his sisters, Diane, Linda and Susan. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren, with a third great-grandchild.
A rosary will be held on Thursday, October 29th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM at the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church (1001 Encinitas Blvd, Encinitas, CA 92024). A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, October 29th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. A procession will be held on Thursday, October 29th 2026 at 1:10 PM at the Cemetery Committal Shelter No Later Than. A burial will be held on Thursday, October 29th 2026 from 1:15 PM to 1:45 PM at the Miramar National Cemetery (5795 Nobel Dr, San Diego, CA 92122).
