The memory of Doris Jean Marcus (Escondido, California), who passed away on July 7, 2025 at the age of 96, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her parents, Cornelius Hendricks and Susan Hendricks; her children, Julia Marcus and Stephen Marcus; her grandson Samuel Marcus; and her siblings, Roger (Betty Hendricks), Allen Hendricks, Gordon (Joyce Hendricks) and Arlene (Frank Davis).
She is survived by: her husband Abraham Marcus; and her children, Catherine Silva, Charlotte Marcus, Richard (Linda Marcus), Martha (Frank Emery), Andy (Patty Marcus), Ken (Bonnie Marcus), John (Amy Marcus), Linda (CJ) and Dulk. She is also survived by her 31 grandchildren and their spouses, and 32 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service was held on Monday, July 14th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Escondido United Reformed Church (1864 N Broadway, Escondido, CA 92026).
In lieu of flowers, the family invites donations to be made in her memory to Reformed Mission Services, continuing her legacy of bringing the hope of Christ to the world.
