He was predeceased by: his parents, Norberto Hurtado and Issac Hurtado; his wife Ruth Cordova Hurtado; his son John James Hurtado (Escondido); his daughter-in-law Evelyn Hurtado (John James); his grandchildren, Adriana Hurtado King (Kennan), Moises Hurtado, Hannah Hurtado, Chance Hurtado, Eric Stanton (Tammy), Joseph Barrett (Rebecca), James Barrett, Kimberly Aldrich, Renee Cunningham Ayala (Armando), Nicole Cunningham Peterson (Jeff), Wesley Cunningham (Monica), JP Conley, Ryan Hurtado (Paty Macedo), Jaime Hurtado (Paul) and Robert Hurtado (Stephanie); and his sister Amelia.
He is survived by: his children, Patricia Aldrich (Tony Aldrich), Adele Cunningham-Carr, Kenneth Cunningham, Ronald Hurtado (Jody) and Marisa Hurtado.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 3rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Alhiser-Comer Mortuary (225 S Broadway, Escondido, CA 92025). A graveside service will be held on Monday, November 3rd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Oak Hill Memorial Park (2640 Glenridge Rd, Escondido, CA 92027). A reception will be held on Monday, November 3rd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the same location. A memorial service will be held on Monday, November 3rd 2025 at the Alhiser-Comer Mortuary (225 S Broadway, Escondido, CA 92025).
