It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Norma Gloria Romero (Escondido, California), born in San Diego, California, who passed away on August 22, 2024, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Guadalupe Robles and Adalberto Robles; and her brother Mario Romero. She is survived by: her grandchildren, Jessica, Noah, Abigail, Samantha, Ricky, Alexandro, Issac, Isabel, Natalia and Xavier; her siblings, Beto Robles and Maria Lousia Gonzalez; her children-in-law, Daniel Gonzalez, Renee Romero and Alyssa Romero; her adoptive son Fred; and her daughter Maria Santos. She is also survived by cousins, godchildren, nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles.
A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 11th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Alhiser-Comer Mortuary (225 S Broadway, Escondido, CA 92025). A graveside service was held on Thursday, September 12th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Oak Hill Memorial Park (2640 Glenridge Rd, Escondido, CA 92027).
Norma worked as a bus driver for the North County Transit Center and retirement homes and as a bus driver for the San Diego Aids Foundation.
