She was predeceased by : her husband Miguel Jesus "Mike" Amarillas. She is survived by : her son Michael J. Amarillas (Brianna); her stepdaughters, Elizabeth Kern and Yvone Callan (Dave); and her grandchildren, Blake, Miles and Erin.

A funeral Mass was held on Friday, April 26th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the San Rafael Parish (17252 Bernardo Center Dr, San Diego, CA 92128).

In the last ten years of her life, Rosa faced the challenges of Parkinson's-type disease.
