She was predeceased by : her spouse Robert H. Schafer, Sr.; her parents, William D. Laurence and Mary E. Laurence (Diefenderfer); and her siblings, Blanche Schuchart, Elmer, John and David Laurence.

She is survived by : her children, Robert H. Schafer, Jr. (Valerie), Tami S. Schafer (Christopher Elia), David L. Schafer (Joanne) and Brian K. Schafer (Margie); and her grandchildren, Robert, Ashley, Daniel, Renee, Jesse and Dalton.
