It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Lola May Ann Simmons of Fairfield, California, born in Seattle, Washington, who passed away on November 4, 2022, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Clarence L. Simmons; her parents, Sundena Ross and Winfield Ross; her son-in-law Mark Afholderbach; her aunts, Nellie Parks and Clara Craig; and her uncle Samuel Genovese.

She is survived by: her son Richard Simmons; her daughter-in-law Susan; her daughters, Carol Afholderbach and Colleen Harless; and her son-in-law Michael. She is also survived by five grandsons; one granddaughter; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
