He was predeceased by: his son Robert Jr.; his parents, Robert and Maria; and his brother Roland. He is survived by: his daughters, Samantha, SaBina and Tiffany; his wife Cheryl Lynn Salas (Lloyd); his children-in-law, Charity and Clint; his siblings, Charles (Alan), Harold, Melvin (Paul) and Diana; and his grandchildren, Lucas and Janese. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
