He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Moilanen and Marion Moilanen. He is survived by: his daughters, Karen Rebecca (Tyler) and Carla Rachel (Rachel); his friend Marty; his wife Wendy Chapin; his son Andrew Moilanen (Jaclyn); his grandchildren, Kialynn Reed, Ele Klick, Aiden Klick, Emersyn Klick, Isaiah Shattuck, Elias Shattuck, Adeline Shattuck, Wally Shattuck III and Adam Shattuck; and his sister Miriam Susan Peloza. He is also survived by many extended family members, friends, fellow musicians, and neighbors.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Fort Bragg Veterans Memorial Building (360 N Harrison St, Fort Bragg, CA 95437).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Disabled American Veterans in Marty's memory.
