It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Peter Traviss (Fremont, California), born in Bell, California, who passed away on May 22, 2020, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Clarence Traviss and Maria Louisa Hagata; her sisters, Patricia Traviss of LaCanada Flintridge, CA and Beverly Traviss Thomas of Austin, TX; her nephews, Timothy Traviss, Nicholas Traviss and Traviss Thomas of Austin, TX; her niece Genevieve Neve; and her brother Robert Traviss of New Zealand.

Sister Mary Peter had a passion for the critical role of Catholic education in the Church which she shared through her teaching and educational leadership, especially in the National Catholic Education Foundation.
