He was predeceased by: his parents, Alex Chavarria and Lucille Chavarria; his sister Sylvia Delgadillo; his son Alex Leonard Chavarria; and his granddaughter Sydney Leslie.
He is survived by: his siblings, Victor, Gilbert and Rebecca; his wife Irene Medina; his daughters, Cheryl Register and Diana Farmer; and his children-in-law, Richard Register, Jeff Farmer and Mona Chavarria. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; siblings; extended family; and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 28th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Whitehurst Sullivan Burns & Blair Funeral Home (836 E Nees Ave, Fresno, CA 93720). A prayer will be held on Monday, September 28th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the same location. A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. A committal service will be held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Peter's Catholic Cemetery (264 N Blythe Ave, Fresno, CA 93706).
