He was predeceased by: his mother Alice Alvarez; and his brothers, John and Victor Alvarez. He is survived by: his father Jesse R. Alvarez; and his siblings, Armando Alvarez, Jesse Alvarez Jr., Eddie Alvarez, Diana (Macario Naranjo) and Patricia (Steven Williams). He is also survived by numerous nephews and nieces.
