He is survived by: his children, Jesse Ray Valenzuela, Daniel Valenzuela, Johnny Valenzuela and Angelica Valenzuela; and his siblings, Theodore Valenzuela, Rosemary Valenzuela and Anna Castro. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and cousins.
