We bid farewell to John Carlos Buada of Fresno, California, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on May 13, 2025 at the age of 78. John Carlos touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Sibit Buada and Laurine Hazel Buada of European de. He is survived by: his wife Stephanie Simonian Buada; his stepchildren, Alison and Jhana (Dave); his daughters, Jacque (James) and Niki; his grandchildren, John Riley, Dakota, Kate, Emily, Ella, Nathanael, David and Avi; and his siblings, Karen, Patti, Luisa and Charlie (Kathi). He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

“John & I have been friends for many decades. I always enjoyed working with him in the field on multiple projects on the rivers. He probably sent me 500 photos of plants to identify and I always enjoyed it. Our favorite running annual laugh over the years involved me finding at least one small error in the plants or animals in the excellent photos in the calendar. A true friend!”
