We are sad to announce that on April 16, 2024, at the age of 91, Josephine Anne Thornton of Fresno, California, born in Perry, Iowa passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Theodore Roosevelt Cole and Vestel Lavonia Cole; her husband Daniel Curtis Thornton; her siblings, Stanley Cole, Leota Brewer and Juanita Zerung; her grandson-in-law Jeremy Herman; her siblings' children, Lana Machado and Ricky Zerung; and her great-nephew Paul Thornton.
She is survived by: her son Mark Randall Thornton (Jane); her grandchildren, Travis Thornton, Tera Fry (Will Sykes), Jesa Herman (Blaine Hanson) and Amanda Dennis (Craig); her great grandchildren, Noah Thornton (Destiny), Mara White (Levi), Joel Jr., Faith Fry and Jase Dennis; and also, Winona White, Jennifer Faries (Phil), Jessica Tolliver (DÉanté), Olivia, Grace Faries and Robinson Tolliver. She is also survived by many nephews & nieces and friends.
