He is survived by: his parents, Juan V Ruiz and Mary Louise Duran Ruiz; his wife Martha Galindo; his children, Juan Ruiz III, Delilah Ruiz, Gabriel Ruiz, Domingo Ruiz and Mary Jane Ruiz; and his sister Esperanza Ruiz.
