He was predeceased by: his parents, Merrit E. Koontz and Pat Koontz; and his brothers, Arthur O. Koontz and Ronald Roth. He is survived by: his brother Arnold Koontz (Debbie) of Port Huron, MI; and his children, Andrew S. Koontz (Janice) of Edwards, MO, Rueben Rodriguez of Chicago, IL, Christy Koontz (Mike) of Chicago, IL and Amber Garcia of Hickory Hills, IL. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren, as well as many special nieces and nephews.
