He was predeceased by: his parents, August Kerner and Christine Kerner; his wife Lois Ann Kerner; his former wife Norma Stokes Kerner; and his brother Kenneth Kerner.
He is survived by: his children, David G. Kerner (Kathy) of Grayslake, Melinda A. Carlson (Mark) of Vienna and Kelly K. Kerner (Rachel) of Athens, Georgia.; and his grandchildren, Matthew, Kevin Kerner, Sarah, Jeff, Anna Carlson, Colin and Grace Kerner. He is also survived by his 3 nieces and 3 nephews.
