She was predeceased by: her parents, Adam Kuta and Mary Kuta (Nosal); her husband Leander "Lee" Mendyk (Litchfield) of Mary's Cathedral; her siblings, Arnold Kuta (Jack), Ernest Kuta (Ernie), Richard Kuta (Dick), Angeline Kuta Rozmiarek (Lynne), Delores Kuta Dickerson (Dodie) and Georgean Kuta Davis (Georgia); and her granddaughter Sara Anne Hervey.

She is survived by: her children, Stephen Mendyk (Ruth), Michael Mendyk (Becky), Stephanie Mendyk, Michele Mendyk and Joni Mendyk-Bliss (Joseph, Sr.); her grandchildren, Katherine Mendyk, Caroline Mendyk, Bennett Mendyk, Joshua Hervey, Joseph Bliss, Jr. (Jaryn) and Jennifer Bliss; her great grandchildren, Abbygail Wallace, Sophia Bliss, Isabella Bliss, Morrigan Bliss, Emma Paulbeck and Claire Bliss; and her sisters, Marian Novak (Kuta) and Kathleen Klaes (Kuta).

Her contributions to others include passing on "real world" skills and knowledge to her children.
