He was predeceased by: his parents, Dorothy Marie Hopping (Anderson) and Lavon Lee Hopping; his wife Patricia Louise Hopping (Vance); and his brother Jack Hopping. He is survived by: his children, Ronald Lee Hopping, Debra Lynn Hopping Davis (Tom) and Jerrold Alan Hopping (Rennie); and his grandchildren, Reed Hopping O. D. of Grant Hopping, M. D., Brett Davis, Tricia Davis Dunton, Julie Davis Jenkins, Lauren Davis Kirk, Major Tyler Hopping, Austin Hopping and Morgan Hopping. He is also survived by 18 great-grandchildren.
