He is survived by: his children, Ayako Motoyasu, Midori Kubota (Neil) and Lance Maeda; his grandchildren, Miaki Motoyasu, Matthew (Rochelle), Timothy Kubota, Justin Maeda (Heather), Misaki Locsin (Greg), Alisha, Colby Maeda and Sydney Gartner; and his great grandchildren, Teagan and Kayden Maeda. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Gardena Buddhist Church (1517 166th St, Gardena, CA 90247).
