He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Tognetti and Ed Tognetti; and his grandparents, Maggie, Pete Tognetti, Jennie and Attilio Galetti.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Rizzi; his children, Nancy Sosa, Andrea Castro, Gary Tognetti (Natalie) and Tony Tognetti (Kelsey); his grandchildren, Matthew, Michelle, Mark Sosa, Lauren, Andrew Castro, Leah, Sophia, Nathan Tognetti, Nolan, Brady and Logan Tognetti; his sister Carol Coryell; his sisters-in-law, Julie Nelson (Jim) and Karen Christopher; his caregiver Kathy Napolitano; his in-laws, Vic and Gloria Rizzi; his brother-in-law Vic Rizzi, Jr.; and his close friend Dirk Buchser (Louie Trinchero).
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 30th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Habing Family Funeral Home (129 4th St, Gilroy, CA 95020). A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 30th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, July 1st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Mary Parish (11 1st St, Gilroy, CA 95020).
