It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joaquin Puente of Gilroy, California, born in San Jose, California, who passed away on February 7, 2026, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ermelindo Puente and Esperanza Puente; and his siblings, Estella Cantu, Gloria Sumisaki and Robert Puente.

He is survived by: his wife Lupe; his children, Carla, Vanessa and Joaquin; his grandchildren, Salvador, Dane, Jacob, Julian and Maliya; his great grandchild Kehlani; his siblings, Ermelindo Puente, Raul Puente, Genaro Puente and Hope Pasqual; and his son-in-law Sal. He is also survived by his cousins, nieces and nephews, God children.
