He was predeceased by: his parents, Ben and Anne (Haffey); and his brother Don. He is survived by: his wife Lois; his children, Mark (Tiff), Mick (Toni) and Mindy (Brian); his grandchildren, Rhett, Sarah (Brad), Chelsea, Danny, Patrick, Austin, Dylan, Jessica, Rhys and Faith; his stepgrandchildren, Ella and Lucy; and his great grandchildren, Stella and Wesley.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Ben's honor can be made to the Citrus College Foundation, Casa Colina Hospital or City of Hope.

“Mr. Bollinger represented to me the word “Hard Work” Mr. Bollinger always demanded that you just do your best! I remember the day in 1984 when I finally made the Citrus Singers after 4 years of Concert Choir and 3 years of Chamber Chorale and 4 years of voice lessons and my wonderful mother Ruth who accompanied me on her piano hour after hour. I miss Mr. Bollinger and my wonderful mother Ruth and I simply thank them both along with God for a dream come true. Sincerely, James P. Willert”
