He is survived by: his wife Mercedes Viramontes Borja; his children, Benjamín Viramontes, Alma Delia Salazar, Guillermina Leal, Alberto Viramontes, Imelda Romero and Margarita Rivera; and his pet Botas. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
