He was predeceased by: his wife Jeannine Williams Gale Shoopman; and his siblings, Floyd, Eunice, Darrell, Ruby, Junior and Imogene Shoopman.
He is survived by: his children, Reverend Jerry (Desse Gale), William (Kimberly Gale), Robert (Barbara Gale) and Candace Gale. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great grandchildren.
