He was predeceased by: his parents, Sadie Aileen McIntyre Sanford and Keith David Sanford. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Grizzle Sanford; his brothers, Ronald Sanford (Nancy Wallace Sanford) and Thomas Sanford (Karen Whelan Sanford); his children, Blair Sanford (Amy Steiner Sanford), Paul Sanford (Kanako Yachi Sanford) and Laura Sanford Johnson (Eric Johnson); his grandchildren, Andrew Sanford (Phoebe Joaquin Sanford), Margaret Sanford Walker (Kevin Walker) and Elizabeth Sanford; and his children, Juna, Kayna Sanford, Grant and Heath Johnson.
A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, August 5th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Sierra Presbyterian Church (175 Ridge Rd, Nevada City, CA 95959).
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that any gifts be directed in Roger's name to Foothills Compassionate Care (formerly Hospice of the Foothills).
