He was predeceased by: his wife Ava Chambers McVitty; his parents, Archie and Eileen; his siblings, Charles, Terrence, Virginia and Alice; and his birth mother Anna Sweeney McVitty.
He is survived by: his children, Jerry Tidwell (Jerilyn) and Mary Ann Tidwell-Jones (Bob); his grandchildren, Colleen, Andrew (Lauren), Chris, John and Robert; his great grandchildren, Hudson and Nash; his sisters-in-law, Jone Chambers and Marsha Chambers; and his cousins, Stephanie McVitty, Helen, Gerald Murders and Willa Dean Graves. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Rocky Cemetery (75 Rocky Cemetary Rd, Sims, AR 71969).
