His career spans from early days at Shenyang tractor factory where he met his lifelong partner of 53 years, to his pursuit of Ph.D at New York, to his professorship at Hefei, and culminated at Boulder and Norman, where his work at NOAA resulted in numerous awards and accolades for his contributions to the advancement of US weather radar system.
