He is survived by: his wife Sandra Highfill; his sons, Russell Highfill (Sydney) and Jason Highfill (Jeanett); his grandchildren, Justus (Whitley), Jake (Haley), Jace (Hevyn), Rebecca (Eli) and Samantha (Abram); and his great grandchild Wyatt.

Jim worked tirelessly in obtaining donations to provide meals and toys for needy families during the holidays.
