George Andersen Obituary

George Andersen, 85 of Hemet, California passed away on Friday, December 29, 2017, at Kaiser Permanente Hospital-Moreno Valley, California. He was born in New Jersey to the late George John Andersen Sr. and Catherine Veronica Lazur-Andersen. George proudly served in The United States Navy and worked as a civil engineer for over 30 years.His family described him to be a family man and being very friendly. George enjoyed visiting family, being outdoors, and walking his dogs. His giving character allowed him to volunteer for 21 years at the Santa Rosa Plateau. Surviving are his loving wife of over 61 years, Charlene Andersen, sons, George John Andersen III and Robert Paul Andersen, daughters, Vivian Schafler and Linda Kay Rudolf, brother, Edward Paul Andersen, 11 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Michael Wayne Andersen. Interment will be in Riverside National Cemetery, Riverside, CA after his committal service there on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at 10:45 AM.
