He was predeceased by: his parents, William Albert Welty and Annie Belle Welty (Wallace); and his wife Norma Welty. He is survived by: his children, Sheri Rice, Karen Rice, Gary Welty, Joni Rice, Shirley Van Nostrand and Keith Asbell. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
