He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyn and Lissie; and his daughters, Denise and Desiree. He is survived by: his wife Brenda; his siblings, Thelma, Donna, Shirley and James; his son Douglas; and his grandchildren, Christina, Daniel, Haley, Shaundra and Mindy. He is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren.
