He was predeceased by: his parents, Don Morrison and Delora Morrison; his wife Lucille; his son Ricky Joe; and his siblings, Eugene, Albert, Charles and Nadene Kitchens.

He is survived by: his son Dennis (Carolyn) of St. Jacob; his siblings, Ralph (Melba) of Galt, CA, Doris Merriam of Hughson, CA and Gail Andaverde (Chris) of Delhi, CA; and his stepdaughter Pam Rienke (Dan) of Los Lunas. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, twenty-one great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
