She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Edelmira Bustos and Luis Arce; her husband Mario B. Ascarrunz; her daughters, Katia Reeves of Palo Alto, Trudy Marcela Daugherty of Kansas City, KS, Cheryl Ascarrunz of Sunnyvale and Monica Holland of Modesto; and her family Chile. She was also cherished by seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
