He was predeceased by: his parents, Ram Gulam and Sursati; and his siblings, Anood Prasad, Kamla Wati, Paras Ram, Parwati Prasad, Suruj Ram, Shiu Prasad and Surita Devi (Kokila).
He is survived by: his wife Tota Mati; his children, Sarmila Chandra (Ceres) and Vikash Pal (Fiji Islands); his son-in-law Michael Chandra (Ceres); his granddaughters, Angel Sewak (Hayward), Shaina Chandra (Ceres) and Shanaya Pal (Fiji Islands); and his brother Ram Kumar (Fiji Islands).
