She was predeceased by : her former life partner Joseph Sparks; her parents, Walker Simms and Polly Simms; her brothers, Gail and Willis; and her grandson Daniel Sparks.

She is survived by : her husband Joe; her brother Gary; her children, Nancy Sparks, Linda Jolliff (Steven), Diane Ronning (William) and Alan Sparks; and her grandchildren, Amy Luckemeyer (Joel), Katie Tatum (Jeff), Melissa Sparks, Bryan Ronning (Edyn), Shawn Sparks (Renee), Jennifer Jolliff and Savannah Sparks. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
