She was predeceased by: her parents, William Jackson Payne and Adeline "Ida" Payne (Hutchins); and her spouse Windle E. Ward. She is survived by: her son Dr. Gary Ward; her daughter-in-law Dr. Marijane Ward; her daughter Linda French; her grandchildren, Melissa Tweedie, Dr. Samantha French (Michael Weller) and Britney Ward; and her great grandchildren, Marco Weller, Logan Tweedie and Gavyn Ward.
