With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Opal Lucille Ford of King City, California, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Opal left this world on November 19, 2025 at the age of 94, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Mann and Angeline Mary Mann; her husband Wilson "Willie" Ford; her children, Wilson "Tom" Ford and Constance "Connie" Ford; and her siblings, Elase Mann, Charlene Wilson Silva, AC Mann, Louise Benavides Galliher, Kenneth Mann, Lawrence Mann, Larry Mann and Edna Dickerson.
She is survived by: her brother James Mann (Chris) of Paso Robles; her daughter Shirley Ford DeVries of Salinas; her daughter-in-law Cheryl Ford; and her grandsons, David Ford (Angie) of Maine and Justin Ford (Connie) of Los Angeles. She is also survived by three great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Prunedale Baptist Church (17716 Pesante Rd, Salinas, CA 93907).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the SPCA of Monterey County, a cause close to her heart as she and her husband cherished their rescued cats, or a charity of your choice.
