He is survived by: his wife Kathy; his child Cierra; his sister Barbara Smith (Jim); his niece Cori Smith; his nephew Jim Smith; his brother Ryan Smith (Samantha Garcia-Smith); his great-nephews, Caden and Jacob; his brother Christopher Love; his niece Nicole Worth (Joel); his great-nephews, Johnathan and Jameson; his nieces and nephews, Jason Love, Jackie O'Brien (Patrick), Brooke O'Brien, Brady O'Brien and Gary Smith; his great-nieces, Ace and Aurora; his siblings-in-law, Frances Shayotovich (Eli) and Richard Wankel; his niece Krystle Hernandez; his nephew Jason Hernandez (Adrian); and his great-nieces, Haley and Abbie Hernandez.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, October 27th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church (47-225 Washington St, La Quinta, CA 92253).

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation to accelerate science and research to find cures for Parkinson's disease.
