It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joan Cook Hawley of La Quinta, California, who passed away on September 17, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. As Joan departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Joan may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Joan leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Bill Cook and Jean Cook. She is survived by: her husband Edward P. Hawley; her daughter Cynthia Johnson (Greg); her grandchildren, Kristina Porras (Ryan), Rebecca Glenn (Brad) and Matthew Johnson; and her great grandchildren, Liam Matthew Porras and Adelynn Jean Glenn.
