“I was greatly saddened to learn of Dave Ream’s death and also of the illness that preceded it. Although we eventually lost contact after I retired and moved away, I remember Dave as my close friend during our time together in the City of Santa Ana. In addition to that time together at City Hall, we had fun together at ballgames and boat trips. I had great admiration for his abilities and character and for the things he accomplished as city mangager. All my sympathy to his family, Richard Lay.”
