He is survived by: his wife Donna Jean Schmidt (Schmierer); his sons, Brian Schmidt (Shelby) and Jeff Schmidt (Terese); his granddaughters, Christine Weber-Schmidt (Chris) and Jacqueline Schmidt; and his sisters, Alma Martin and Vivian Gwyn (John).
