He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Vicente Cruz and Guadalupe De La Cruz; his wife Yolanda De La Cruz; his children, Salvador O. De La Cruz, Victoria Carrion (Kimberly Carrion) and Sergio De La Cruz; his grandchildren, Salvador Jr., Juliana, Awstin, Johnathan, Selena and Sergio; and his siblings, Guadalupe, Vincent, Jose-Luis, Juanita, Francisco and Rosa. He was also cherished by many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
