She was predeceased by: her parents, Eijiro Kinoshita and Hana Kinoshita; her husband Mitsugi Komatsu; and her siblings, Masayuki Kinoshita, Janet Misao Sugimoto, Eiko Nishimori and Sadako Kinoshita.
She is survived by: her sons, Robert, Steven and Gary Komatsu (Jennifer); her grandchildren, Matthew (Erin), Caleb, Jake Komatsu, Andrue McElhaney (Courtney), Arika Avila, Aaron Ulrich and Kailee Avila; and her brother David Kinoshita (Naomi). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
